Through words, I could be a doctor, an engineer, an IT expert, a financial advisor, a photographer, and in rare cases, a writer. All backed by vast reserves of structured data.
My thirst for logic behind everything has pushed me into some questionable territories, thus I rise to meet the needs of my calling, be it writing, making music, helping those around me, and enjoying every second on consciousness.
Education
I’ve done my bit, completing my school, finishing up O levels with a decent GPA of 3.83 mostly on science, then moving on to O levels for Business Studies, and ending my formal education with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Linguistics after submitting a research paper that seemed to throw a lot back at my professors.
There’s not a lot you can do with formal education until you couple that with a never ending thirst for knowing everything, and why they are the way they are. A lot of the time, I had an issue with the educational system being mostly inclined towards good grades, no matter how. But it has given me the scope to prove my point towards the end of my pursuits.
Influences & Interests
A man that wants recognition doesn’t leave any stone unturned on his path. Everything I thought was cool became an integral addition to the personality I’ve cultivated. Through music, art, writing, and expressing myself, I’ve had my fun, and learnt a great deal, but when it comes to influences, I looked back into history.
I loved the charisma and leadership of Julius Caesar, the depth and the ability to cut down obstacles and create new venues of thinking like Sigmund Freud, and Carl Jung. I absolutely admire those who can see through the societal walls of falsehood. I love the influences from every philosopher of stoicism, those who’ve set minds free from the shackles of selflessness.
Areas of Expertise Through Employment
I’ve been on the job for as long as I can remember. But, my first official training began as a telemarketer, later quitting to join into a business organization where I served as the Tech support. Wasn’t the best of times, but I learnt tech, and that was invaluable. 8 Years into that job, and I had a calling, so I quit that, spent a year in training, and emerged a writer. This writer was into Blogs, which later earned me the opportunity for ghostwriting. I’ve had a good run so far, having laid down my words into multiple websites, and written well over 1500 SEO blogs. All that pales in comparison to how in touch I was with writing all my life, having maintained a journal for 20 years. My inner monologue is strong, and working under various mentors has refined it.
What's On The Horizon for Afaque
Since Afaque is the horizon, literally, the view up ahead unfolds as I go. Since the may of 2024, I have resigned from my position as chief writer, leading a team of digital marketers, to focus on my own pursuits.
Writing for others was great, but there are words that need to flow, and a bigger picture up ahead. The employee that sat behind a cubicle knew the weight his words carried, and wished to yield it for himself. There’s no end to this exploration, and we are going in deep, whether it is for digital marketing, ghost writing, or my own thought flows!
